Welcome to Cerro Coso Community College

Cerro Coso Community College was established in 1973 as a separate college within the Kern Community College District. Cerro Coso has five instructional sites (Eastern Sierra Center Bishop & Mammoth, Indian Wells Valley, Kern River Valley, and South Kern), which together form the largest geographical service area (18,000 square miles) of any community college in California and which serve a population of approximately 85,000. A leader in online education, Cerro Coso has been offering online classes since 1997 and offers 8 Associate degrees entirely online and as many as 100+ classes online each year, with approximately 100 sections per semester. The Cerro Coso Theatre Department will present Picnic by William Inge on Friday, December 5 and Saturday, December 6 at 7:00 p.m. and again on Sunday, December 7 at 2:00 p.m. in the College Lecture Center. [more]

11.25 South Kern Closure (Dec 1-5)
The Cerro Coso office at Edwards Air Force Base will be closed from December 1st to December 5thth. Jon Tittle will be in the office on Wednesday, December 3rd from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. for counseling appointments. If you need assistance during the closure, please call the IWV campus at 760-384-6100.
